I am the
George Bailey
of my family... As a kid I thought I would travel the world... But, so far I haven't left the country. I thought I would live in exotic places... Not yet, I have always been a resident of Massachusetts. Except for the time I spent in the United Sataes Air Force, I have lived within 25 miles of where I was born. But, just like George Bailey, I have learned that what God has planned is better than what I could hope for.
For 16 years I have been blessed to be married to a wonderful, supportive wife and I am "Daddy" to 2 beautiful, energetic, and confident daughters. When my daughters were 8 and 11, I realized that I needed to change direction.I had been working in the automotive industry for many years (14 to be exact). I had a good job, worked for a great organization and for a great boss, he was fair, treated his employees well and provided me with the means to provide for every material need my family had.
I thought LIFE was good... BUT, was it?
I was struggling...My family life was suffering...my faith was fading... my children were growing up... and growing up FAST. I had no time for anything outside of work. Working all the time... 6 or 7 days a week...10,11,12, + hours a day.
So here I was... at a crossroad.
SHOULD I STAY OR SHOULD I GO Stay comfortable...stay content....continue to miss out on the moments that only happen once. Or was it time to take a chance. So it came down to BEN FRANKLIN.
Ben Franklin, the first self-made millionaire in the U.S. ...inventor...statesman...Poor Richard himself, had a time tested decision-making concept... List the Pros and Cons... the longer list, the better choice.
So with a decision made, I decide to leave my job and start out on a uncharted course
.
I WENT INTO BUSINESS FOR MYSELF.
My wife wasn't sure !!! But, she supported me. "Does this mean you will be able to go to my soccer games next year?" my oldest daughter asked.
Today I AM A better CHRISTIAN, A better HUSBAND, A better FATHER and AN INSURANCE BROKER.
So there you have it...it's not for the money...it's to spend more time with those I LOVE.
If you have questions...about faith, family or insurance, or it is time to review your life or your insurance plans...give me a call...I'd love to talk with you. I will always do my best to be my best.
Thanks,
Rob Ferrini
